HARCSAC offers free non-judgemental face to face counselling, as well as live online video counselling, to women over the age of 18 who are survivors of rape, sexual assault and/or childhood sexual abuse, no matter when this happened and who are residents of Hertfordshire.

No formal qualifications or specific experience are necessary, but an awareness of women’s issues is essential.

Recruiting Now – Are you a good listener?

If so, have you thought about putting your skills to good use and training to take them to the next level?  We offer a range of support to women over the age of 18 who live in Hertfordshire and who have experienced rape and/or sexual abuse at any time in their lives.

Our amazing survivors need you!

We are looking to recruit new female volunteers to join our organisation to offer support through face to face counselling, by telephone and via video counselling. Full specialist training will be provided, and you will be supported and supervised through your induction and during your work with clients. If you can be available on a Thursday evening plus one other client slot per fortnight this is a great opportunity to upskill and meet some amazing women.

A full information pack including details of our information evening which will be held via Zoom on 13th August is available by email from: recruitment@hertsrapecrisis.org.uk

Closing date for applications is 20th August

Volunteering to directly support clients

After completion of the initial training course, volunteers will be willing and available to attend a regular Thursday evening meeting and meet with a client at least one hour per fortnight.

A willingness to undertake additional training as necessary and keep-up-to-date with key issues and debates will also be essential as part of their ongoing personal development.

If you might be interested in attending our next training course and working with clients please contact our office at recruitment@hertsrapecrisis.org.uk or telephone 01707 276539 and leave your name and contact details for further information.

These volunteer posts are subject to a DBS check and open to women only. (Exempt under the Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9, Part 1)

We are constantly seeking funding and appreciate donations of any size.

Volunteers are the heart of what we do. We need volunteer counsellors, fundraisers, people with marketing skills as well as people who just want to help.

We always appreciate feedback, please contact us via: admin@hertsrapecrisis.org.uk or call 01707 276539 if there is anything you would like us to know
